Conifers
From the smallest rock garden miniature to the mighty timber trees, conifers add color and texture to the landscape. Mostly evergreen, they add year round color and structure to any garden.
Large conifers grow more than 12" per year. These conifers work well for screening and windbreaks, or for focal points in large landscapes. Semi-dwarf conifers, or intermediate conifers, grow 6"-12" per year. These conifers can lend a 'big tree feel' to smaller gardens. Dwarf conifers grow 1"-6" per year. Dwarf conifers are suitable for most gardens, adding color year round. Miniature conifers grow less than 1" per year, making them suitable for tiny spaces, troughs and rock gardens.
Conifers can be shipped through most of the year, except when they are actively pushing new growth. They are available for pickup at the nursery February through November. |
