Mid season bloom of deep pink flowers from red buds. The foliage emerges deep purple-red, and changes to purple-flushed green in summer. The pea-sized fruit is maroon in color. Oval habit. A very popular variety. This small garden tree provides spring flowers and ornamental, bird-loved fruit in summer and fall. It matures at 12’-15’ and is tolerant of a variety of soils.
