Native to the west coast, from British Columbia to California. Climbing or scrambling vine with oval, hairy leaves. Flowers are purplish pink on the outsides, creamy yellow inside. Red berries follow the flowers. Prefers sun to part shade, well drained soils. Excellent bird plant; flowers attract hummingbirds and berries are attractive to other birds. 1 gl. size
