Deciduous shrub to 10', with large, dark green, fuzzy leaves, and mid-summer, pale tan buds which open to lacecap flowers that begin as mauve, and age to white. Partial to full shade, rich, moist soil. Prune hard the first 2 to 3 years to develop structure.
