A deciduous Pacific Northwest native shrub with maple-like leaves. In mid-spring pure white flowers are borne in long racemes; these develop into edible gray-blue berries. Upright habit, growing unpruned to 8'-12'. One of our finest native shrubs for the garden. Hummingbirds love the flowers.
