A vigorous deciduous shrub grown for its, curved and twisting, fasciated (flattened) stems that are dotted in late winter with small, silvery catkins. Highly prized for winter flower arrangements. Can be cut to the ground annually to control size. Tolerant of wet soil, needs full sun.
