Glossy rounded, heart-shaped leaves grace this witch hazel relative all summer, then turn glorious muted shades of yellow, orange, and wine red in autumn. One of the best shrubs for autumn foliage color in shade. Spidery red flowers bloom in October and November. Best with ample summer water. Grows to 8' over time.
