This Satsuki azalea, also known as 'Kazan', is grown as much for its foliage as its flowers. The tiny, deep green foliage is heart shaped, and hugs the branches. In May, the plant is covered with salmon pink flowers showing violet markings in the throat. Slow growing, it will reach 6" high, but spreads to be much wider than tall.
