Pear Trees

European and Asian Pear trees are easy to grow and very rewarding for the gardener.

Pear trees are only shipped while dormant, from February through mid to late April. They are available for pickup at the nursery February through November.

Pear Rootstocks

OHF-333 Semi-Dwarf FOR EUROPEAN AND ASIAN PEARS- Trees will grow 12'-15'. A more vigorous selection than quince although a much larger tree at maturity. OHF 333 is resistant to pear decline. Hardy well-anchored productive. This is not a dwarfing rootstock . 10'-12' spacing. Zones 4-9

PYRODWARF- Dwarf FOR EUROPEAN AND ASIAN PEARS. This new dwarfing rootstock for European and Asian pears produces a tree 6’-10’ depending on variety vigor. It has good hardiness is very precocious and usually begins bearing in 2-4 years. Space 6’-10’. Like most dwarf fruit trees it should be staked. Pears on Pyrodwarf are suitable for espalier. Zones 4-9

PROVENCE QUINCE Dwarf FOR EUROPEAN PEARS. Trees will grow 8'-12'. Provence Quince is precocious and extremely productive. This rootstock is resistant to pear decline and crown gall. European pears on Provence Quince rootstock are suitable for espalier. Space 7-9'. Zones 5-9
